Explorica is one of the signature events conducted by IEEE SB LBSITW. This time we are springing back with an array of exciting events on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of October 2020. IEEE Student Branch of LBS Institute of Technology for Women takes much pride and fervour in hosting a three-day event, “EXPLORICA 2.0 – Bringing Together Industry, Technology and Environment”, which aims at the amalgamation of environs and technology with diligence. Explorica 2.0 is the next event in series to the very successful, Explorica 1.0 – Meet the Industry conducted in the year 2019 by IEEE SB LBSITW. We aspire to create pioneers to bring together industry, technology and environment.
Explorica 2.0 – Bringing together industry, technology and environment, is to be inaugurated by the highly esteemed Dr. Shahbaz Khan. He shall also be familiarising the engineering community with the contribution they are capable of making in the domain of sustainability development.
Dr. Shahbaz Khan is Director and Representative of UNESCO Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific. He has multidisciplinary academic background and professional experience in engineering, environmental law, economics and international diplomacy. He is a Fellow, Chartered Engineer and Engineering Executive of Engineers Australia, Hon Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineers, Hon Fellow of the Myanmar Engineering Society, Founding Fellow of the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World and Fellow of the Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Khan currently holds adjunct professorial appointments in several universities.
